WQTT Radio Station Visit

Afer talking to Motorcycle Mike on Monday May 14th, he mentioned that the radio station was looking for someone to do the chicken dance with him earlier that morning. He said that if I knew anyone that would want to do it to tell them they could go to the radio station the next morning between 6am and 9am to do the chicken dance and possibly win a pass to the African Safari Wildlife Park in Sandusky OH . When I got home that day I asked Jackson and Nathan if they wanted to do the chicken dance at the radio station. They both wanted to, Jackson did especially since it was going to be at the actual radio station. So I told them that we would have to get up really early and they need to go to bed now if they wanted to do that.
Tuesday morning I got woken up by Jackson. He said "Dad my clock says 4,4,4. Is it time to get up now? " He was really excited. Later that morning we went down to the WQTT station on S.Main street in Marysville.

We got to talk with Mark and Angie and observe them while they did their morning show. Angie asked Jackson if he wanted to be the weather kid and say the weather on the radio. After he knew what he would have to say he agreed to do it. A little after 7am we along with another family went in front of the station and did the chicken dance.
We both received passes to the African Safari Wildliife Park.
When we got home Jackson was excited to share the news with his friends at school that he got to be the weather kid and say the weather on the radio. Nathan was excited to share with his friends that he got to do the chicken dance! Mark sent me the sound clips from our visit to the station. Here is a link to the audio file that Mark sent me. Feel free to listen to it.

Spring

So far the weather has been nice. There hasn't been too much rain or too much sun. The ground seems to be dryer than it was last spring. The only complaint I have so far is the over abundance of ticks that seem to come in on the dogs. Often times I will pick off 3 or 4 ticks off our smaller dog Stuart. There hasn't been too many ticks on Lexi the boxer.
It was so nice out the other evening that we ate dinner outside. We were also able to watch the farmer plow the field behind the house. The wind was blowing hard enough that it kept the dust away from the house. The boys were watching the tractor get closer and closer to our house. When it would get close to the fence they would run over and wave. There evening was made when the farmer waved back to them.

Facebook Time line

This is my first post since I swore off facebook. I do not agree with the timeline. Its too clutered and is hard to navigate. One of the many things I want to do that has been put on the back burner is move this site over to a new web hosting providor and upgrade it to drupal 7. I also want to create a site for liddle.us I am not sure what I want to use the URL for but thought it would be a good one to have while I can get it.
I do have a new site set up for pictures at http://someplaceinohio.com/gallery
